Highland Cottage – a Bob Ross (Joy of Painting) style digital painting
I’ve had a few requests from YouTube viewers, asking if I could do a ‘How-To’ video, on how I do the Bob Ross style in GIMP.
What I did this time was to focus on where the pointer is, and what I’m doing. I had to speed up the video (again) due to the 10 minute limit on YouTube, but I’m also uploading the full 40min video to Google Video.

Bob Ross (Joy of Painting) technique in GIMP
I thought, for a change, I’d play around on the tablet PC and try and do some Bob Ross (aka: Joy of Painting) style art in GIMP, rather than the more complex Painter X. And, since I was in (yuck!) Windows, I used Camtasia to record the video, and have put it up on YouTube for the (somewhat deviant) world to see.
