Self Portrait – digital
I am an artist working in pastel, pencil/charcoal, ink, and watercolour. I use pastel or pencil/charcoal for portrait pieces. While, for illustrations I use watercolour. All cartoon/comic book work is done in ink with (if need be) the addition of watercolour. My pastel portraits are created using artists quality pastels from Conte and Ashby, and the paper I use is Hahnemuhle velour which has a soft velvety feel to it, perfect for creating fur/hair effects. Illustrations are painted onto 300gsm watercolour paper using Daler Rowney artists quality watercolour paint. Cartoon pieces, and pencil/charcoal portraits, are created using Derwent pencil/charcoal on 160gsm A3 paper.
