About Me
I am an artist working in oil, pastel and pencil. I use oil for, mainly, landscape work, and both pastel and pencil for portrait pieces. Landscapes are painted on either box canvas or on canvas paper (which is specially made for oil paint) using artists quality Winsor & Newton paint. My pastel portraits are created using artists quality pastels from both Conte and Ashby, and the paper I use is Hahnemuhle velour which has a soft velvety feel to it, perfect for creating fur/hair effects. Pencil portraits are done using Derwent pencil and charcoal on high quality A3 paper.
Recently my work was published in the 2010 book, ‘Best Of Worldwide Artists – Working In Charcoal, Pastel & Pencil‘ which is available to buy from: http://www.bestofartists.com/best-of-books/?currentPage=6.
